By When the news first landed that The Hangover was going to be getting a sequel I was more disappointed than surprised. A successful comedy with no need for a sequel taking its fantastic jokes and rehashing them until they suck? I’ve seen that one too many times, thank you very much.
And so the first full trailer for the film lands and I am tepid towards it to say the least. However, now that I have watched it and laughed I am feeling the familar pull and want to expect great things from this movie. Yes, they’re bringing back random characters that people loved from the original film like Ken Jeoung’s gay Asian gangster, but damn it if monkeys aren’t always hilarious.
