By From the looks of this trailer and the gorgeous scenery images from the other day, if The Lone Ranger is terrible because it features another (so far) weird Johnny Depp accent (still mad that he’s playing a Native American regardless of his quarter/half/quarter pounder with cheese Native American ethnicity), then at least we could all take solace of the fact that the whole thing is going to look damn pretty.
Also from the story bits in this trailer, John Reid (Armie Hammer) is going to suit up Batman style in order to fight the corruption of the pale faces during the western expansion of the Industrial Revolution. At the very least, it looks like Tonto (Johnny Depp) is going to give him the idea…so that’s pretty cool. I guess I’m going to keep an open mind about this. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up liking Depp playing some mystical Native American dude?
