Trailer: This is the End (Red Band)

Well, for a movie I didn’t even know existed, this trailer for This is the End tickled my funny bone just enough to make me want more. Based on the short film Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse, This is the End tells the story of the end of the world as it occurs right after a huge party thrown by James Franco at his mansion in L.A. Also starring Seth Rogen, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill and Danny McBride, I think what I find most amusing is that everyone is just playing themselves. Even though we’ve seen this group of guys play these types of roles before, there’s a touch of comedy authenticity knowing they’re not just playing characters. This is also Rogen’s directorial debut, so we’ll get to see how well his comedic chops hold up behind the camera.

Yahoo! also released the first official poster today, which you can catch down in the gallery. This is the End hits theaters June 14th, 2013, which is a real shame considering how topical it is, what with the world ending tomorrow and everything.
