By Here at Flixist, a few of us were interested in one thing last night: Super Bowl teasers. In between moderate lengths of football, a large number of commercials aired that made us feel justified for drinking Coke and to believe in our dormant Force powers. But more importantly, we caught our first glimpse of Captain America: The First Avenger, as well as another look at the upcoming Thor film.
The teaser, which is below the cut, shows Chris Hemsworth in a few action scenes as the titular hero, but more importantly, we see more Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. While it’s only 30 seconds long, this new teaser has me feeling more excited about the film than the first trailer did. I guess I’m not the biggest fan of Norse gods/mythology mixing in with modern superheroes, but that might just be me. Of course, if they follow The Ultimates version of Thor, I’d be fully on board.
Perhaps more importantly, is that the upcoming The Avengers film could potentially combine the immense attractiveness of Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, and Cobie Smulders. The Avengers is fast becoming an ensemble Some Like it Hot rival to
