By I reaaaaaally want to see White House Down as of now. Why? Because it reminds me so much of the original Die Hard. You have a singular building (the White House), bunch of guys invade that building and take folks hostage, and the main guy’s name is John. This is probably not at all coincidental.
But you know what tips it over the edge for me? That brief moment in the middle of the trailer where John (Channing Tatum) almost doesn’t go into a library. It’s the perfect “everyman” hero moment. Plus there’s lots of MURICA so that helps. White House Down muricas up the place June 28th.
