Unseen canceled TMNT live action sequel art is so badical

Man, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have some of the worst luck. Their reboot is going through some rough, and alien times, but at least the new cartoon isn’t terrible. Apparently this bad luck has been following the foursome since 1995.

Between 1995 and 1997, Kevin Eastman was hired on to draw a bunch of concept piecs for a fourth live action TMNT titled, TMNT: The Next Mutation. This film would have introduced such badical 90s villains such as an “evil” April O’Neil with her breasts exposed, a Shredder with KISS-like face paint, a Casey with “Duck U” on his shirt (oh so clever), and finally, it would have ushered in the time of the fifth turtle, Kirby.

Apparently Kirby is a riff off of Jack Kirby, which kind of would have been awesome. Unfortunately, Kirby comes with everything Rob Liefeld inspired in the 90s such as spikes and stripes that weren’t necessary in the slightest. Let’s just all be glad this film never happened. If it did, we might even have the TMNT bros around these days.
