Update: Spielberg and Dreamworks working on Halo film

0

Update: Yup, it be a lie. Thanks Frank Connor of 343 Industries and they make the Halo now. So unless he’s covering it up for some reason then we’re calling this a falsehood.

Original: And the Halo movie is back again… maybe. After being canceled because of legal issues and piss poor production planning the film version of Halo has popped up yet again, this time in a French press release for the new Halo book Halo: Cryptum.

Roughly translated from the most romantic of the romance languages the text from the press kit reads: “A film adaptation is set in 2012. It will be conducted jointly by two heavyweights of American cinema: Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks.” Since there were so many issues with getting a film based off the games going the word on the street is that this might be a film based of the Halo books.

If true we could be hearing about this as soon as next week as that’s when NYCC will be happening. Flixist will be attending so we promise if there is an announcement we will bum rush whomever is there and tackle them to the ground before torturing them for information. Or maybe we’ll just sort of yell questions at them from far away. We’ll see which works better.
