Once again acting as a one man PR conglomerate on his Facebook page, Vin Diesel said some things about the nature of the apparently unstoppable Fast and Furious franchise. After seeing all the great feedback from early screenings of Fast and Furisix, Vin Diesel announced Fast Se7en was a thing:
There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal… and their demand for the continuation was powerful…It’s remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999… and the evolution continues. P.s. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started… talk about a studio in sync with the audience…
Although it was technically announced that Fast Six and Se7en (but Se7en was never greenlit) were previously going to be filmed back to back but were cancelled due to weather problems, it looks like Diesel got all the confidence he needed to move forward. I’m personally a little taken aback by this. Fast and Furious and Fast Five were pleasant surprises, and Fastest and Furiousest will probably be a rousing good time, but I don’t know if I keep wanting these to happen yet. What about all of you? In the mood for Fast Se7en, Fastest and Furiousester, Fast Nine, or even the tenth installment, FasTen Your Seatbelts?
