Despite its poor critical reception, Suicide Squad broke crazy records last weekend. Because of this Warner Bros and DC Comics have to decided to move along with their plan, good films be damned. But something we didn’t see coming along with the two-part Justice League, solo Batman film, and Wonder Woman was another Superman film.
Although there were slight rumbles of a sequel, it wasn’t confirmed until now. According to The Wrap, WB/DC are moving forward with another solo Superman as a “top priority” and getting the character “right for audiences is of tantamount importance” since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice literally killed it. But the sequel isn’t happening anytime soon either. With Wonder Woman and Justice League releasing next June and November respectively, Aquaman releasing 2018, and the solo Batman film still not dated (which is likely to come out before), the Man of Steel follow up will probably be wanted by then.
Cash rules everything around WB. Get the money.
