Warner Bros, you tease: Holmes 2, Hangover 2, and much more!

News like this is always thrilling. The conclusion of all the speculation, and all the pre-production buzz that one industry can muster: the first production still. It means the movies you’ve been waiting to see are really happening, and maybe sooner than you think.

This primary image will be one of the first pieces of information to break free of humble industry-dedicated sites like our own and reach a broader, entertainment-hungry public. I’ve only seen one image of Noomi Rapace in Sherlock Holmes 2 and I know that she’s on the path to becoming an action star. Guy Ritchie is a physical director, and Rapace won’t just be sitting around. In addition, I didn’t have to see anyone but Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) in a still from summer release Horrible Bosses to know that I’m already a fan. Add to the mix Jasons Bateman and Sudeikis–whose Hall Pass isn’t as enticing–and I know I’m in for something just short of miraculous. (I’m pretty much positive about the whole of next year now. Thanks Warner Bros! I hope that never changes.)

Finally, an image we are familiar with–four men (debatable), checking in at the airport for a boy's night out, unaware of the spectacle and glee to follow–except the men in The Hangover 2 are trading Vegas for Thailand, and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) has an impressive amount of Louis Vuitton luggage. Warner Bros fills in the gaps with Kate Hudson-starrer Something BorrowedFinal Destination 5, and The Apparition. I think you'll be able to guess what they are about just from the images.

See ALL after the jump!
