By At this year’s SXSW, Mondo – the collectible poster and merchandise division of Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse – did something pretty special: they partnered with legendary animation powerhouse Disney to commission new works based off of Disney franchises and movies such as The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, The Incredibles and many, many more. Then they hosted a big gallery show to show the pieces off.
The video shows some of the works as well as the gallery reception itself, and features some of the artists and fans talking about the show. This year Mondo’s really proving “Nothing’s Impossible,” even striking a partnership with the notoriously corporate-minded Disney.
