A little while back, Chloe Moretz spilled these invisible beans on a massive project she’d put pen to contract paper for. Speculation has been boring because, well… that could mean anything. She could be playing BB in Kill Bill Vol. 3, Harley Quinn in Batman, a helicopter in Avatars… nobody knows. Nobody except an anonymous poster on the IMDB.com message boards, who begins by saying “Please don’t quote me on this.” That person has since been quoted.
“…I heard from a fairly reliable inside source that Chloe Moretz is going to play Carolyn and that Thomas McDonell is going to play “young Barnabas.”
Unless Barnabas is a more common name than I realize, this means Dark Shadows, which jives with Chloe’s claim of grandeur, as it’s a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collab. I wouldn’t be paying this any mind if not for the fact that Thomas McDonell has now, days later, been cast for the Depp character flashbacks. Also, half of Chloe’s twitter activity concerns “fresh” episodes of The Vampire Diaries on The New CW. Is the CW still new? Anyway, we’re guessing this kid isn’t done with bloodsuckers after last year’s Let Me In.
