Did the first Peter Rabbit film really do well enough to warrant a sequel? Apparently so, as Sony Pictures has uploaded a new trailer for Peter Rabbit 2 and I’m beginning to question my own sanity. This…anticipated?..sequel sees a story where titular character Peter runs away from home and gets into shenanigans. It’s so basic a follow-up that I’m guessing a machine churned it out in record time.
I suppose the CG rabbits do look cute, but I have no idea why this sequel exists. I’m only writing about it because there’s a billboard near my local gym that has a Peter Rabbit ad still adorned to it. I think even my town forgot the original film existed and just left poor Peter to rot. What a sad thing.
Anyway, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will be released around Easter 2020 (which happens to be my birthday next year…hooray…).
