By Leave it to Hollywood to fill the void of originality with completely off the wall, bats**t craziness. Will Smith is apparently going to star in a film that retells the Biblical story of Cain and Abel…except with vampires. It’s titled The Redemption of Cain, and as of right now there aren’t any concrete details other than vampires will play some part. And here I was thinking that well had run dry. Silly me! Of course Hollywood would scrape the bottom and hoist up whatever foul smelling muck they could find.
Okay, I’ve calmed down. Who knows how this could turn out? Will Smith is an awesome guy, and maybe he knows something we don’t about the film. Then again, between this and the new M. Night Shyamalan movie he’s attached to, maybe he’s lost his damn mind. Either way, I’m sure his career and work will continue to be entertaining, if not embarrassing.
