Recently, Wonder Woman director Michelle MacLauren left the hotly anticipated film for creative differences, but Warner Bros. has already picked up the slack and found a new director for the project. Enter Patty Jenkins, whom prior to this, was originally slated to direct Thor: The Dark World before leaving that project.
MacLauren left for supposedly wanting elements in Wonder Woman that didn’t gel with the “gritty” tone they were going for– such as Wonder Woman having a pet tiger, which admittedly, is something I think I really would’ve like to have seen.I mean, come on, it’s a pet tiger!
Nonetheless, Jenkins will probably be more in line with what the studio wants to achieve with the DC film universe in contrast to the wildly successful Marvel films.
Wonder Woman is projected for a 2017 release.
