With Hunger Games becoming a major international hit, there was some question as to how Jennifer Lawrence would fit the planned X-Men: First Class sequel into her schedule. Fox originally wanted to shoot in the autumn, potentially getting in the way of the second entry in the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire.
Hollywood Reporter is now claiming the situation has been resolved, with X-Men‘s shooting schedule being moved forward to January 2013. Lionsgate reportedly wanted to book its entire Hunger Games cast for seven months of the year, but with Lawrence playing a key role in both movies and now arguably X-Men‘s biggest name (contested only by Michael Fassbender), Fox were never likely to be pleased with such a possibility. Given her stunning performance in Hunger Games, it’s no surprise the studios are so desperate to take advantage of Lawrence’s rapid ascent to superstardom.
