This week, Netflix and Miramax announced that they’ve inked a multi-year deal that will bring hundreds of Miramax films to Netflix’s instant streaming service. Starting this June, Netflix subscribers will have access to dozens of Miramax titles on a rotating basis, although it was not disclosed just which movies will be available when.
This is a pretty big get for Netflix, who lost the Criterion Collection to Hulu back in February. Miramax’s catalog is an impressive one to say the least, including Oscar winning films like The English Patient and No Country For Old Men, to just about everything Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino have ever done.
Plus, now you’ll finally be able to see Phantoms in stunning high definition!
